First-hand experience:
In order to experience the perspective of the dog, we used a method similar to body storming to add props to ourselves that would bring us closer to the dog, to observe the dog's behaviour and reactions and then to recreate this behaviour as the dog, and in planning how to do this we researched the experiential actor approach. My partner and I experimented with the dog's owner and the dog and recorded our performance on video. We then wrote down how the experience of playing the dog made us feel.
In my first performance experiment I put on a thick plush coat and squatted in the bath while my companion helped me to bathe, without using words or gestures to communicate with my companion, without having to endure the discomfort of cold water or a wet plush coat, and without using my hands to bathe myself. There were many uncomfortable experiences, but in the end I could only get my companion's attention by physically bumping her slightly or flinging water at her. At the same time my companion was exhausted from the long and exhausting show of helping me to bathe.
We also performed an underground ride with the dog, the owner feeding the dog, and some dog-to-dog interactions. After almost every experience we felt a change in perception, which did not necessarily point to the truth, but it meant a tangible new and different feeling. I was more impressed by the sensory stimuli and psychological states I experienced than by any information I had read. We have documented this first-hand experience into a method of observation and reflection, divided into four steps: observation, recording, imitation and reflection.
Dog's eyes vs. our eyes:

I found that my empathy with the dogs was heightened after getting these encounters and I had new ideas, but where did these ideas come from?
This first-hand experience has been recorded in a system of observation and reflection, separated into four stages to find the answer: observation, recording, imitation and reflection.

Anthropomorphism in the human-dog relationship. As an extension, my partner and I explored privacy and self-esteem in dogs and how humans view it. In Fluffy Diary, this segment is recorded (1).
We have been driven to learn more about human-canine empathy and shared communication through these explorations and prolonged inquiries.
Usability test:
Initially, with detailed instructions for each, we recorded five main steps. However, we wanted to refine it to make it easy to use, after asking volunteers to test out the observation process. This was because we found that lengthy and excessively technically worded papers decreased participant participation in our usability testing and left them uncomfortable or even stopped the exercise. This was just to make sure we produced a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
